In 2017, the Longoria Family experienced the heartbreaking loss of one of their students to suicide. In response, they committed to raising awareness by educating their instructors on recognizing warning signs and connecting individuals in need with appropriate resources and support.
From that commitment, the Board Break-a-thon was created as a way for the martial arts community to come together, support one another, and raise awareness and funds for bullying and suicide prevention initiatives.
The Longoria Family and their team invite the community to support and sponsor participating students as they take part in the next Board Break-a-thon.
Together, they aim to promote awareness, provide hope, and make a positive impact for youth and adults affected by bullying and suicide within the community.
